Don’t give up on your dream school just because you didn’t get in initially.
Use this email template and increase your chances of getting admitted.
The key is to be honest. You should not do this for every school you get waitlisted for, but instead just your top choice.
We’ve seen this strategy work with two recent 1:1 clients - one was waitlisted due to academic performance during their Senior fall semester and the other because they didn’t get their application in on time.
In both cases, sending an email like this helped to get them a positive response from the admissions office.
