1. Determine YOUR Priorities
First things first, you need to decide why YOU are going to college. At the end of the day this is your college search process and no one else’s. Not your parents, friends, teachers, coaches, etc., and while their opinion matters - you will be the one actually enrolling.
That’s why we always encourage college recruits to determine their priorities first - even before they start researching colleges.

Starting the search with this base of what’s important will make it easier to evaluate schools during the later stages of the process.
2. Start Researching Schools
Once you've identified your priorities, start researching colleges that align with them.
Most people will encourage you to use websites like CollegeBoard, Niche, or U.S. News and World Report to help you find schools that meet your criteria.
